Stephen Bateman
Stephen is head of Audience Interaction at GreenWise. Stephen has a career that spans more than 20 years in international publishing and digital media marketing and is a trained and qualified marketeer with the Chartered Institute Of Marketing (CIM) and The Communications Advertising and Marketing Education Foundation (CAM). He has a Diploma in Managing Digital Media. He is co-founder of iGlimpse Limited, a digital media company producing IOS applications for the iPhone and iPad.

I am editor of GreenWise, the business-to-business, community-focused, online independent publisher helping businesses move to a low carbon economy. I am also editorial director of Wise Up Media, an off-shoot of GreenWise, where the team and I combine our deep sector knowledge with the tools and expertise we possess from our many years in publishing to help our clients build effective audiences that ultimately will reward them with their custom.

Craig Simmons, Best Foot Forward
Craig Simmons
Craig Simmons is co-founder and technical director of Best Foot Forward, a world-leader in carbon and ecological footprinting. He has been involved in more than 1,000 environmental projects working with more than 300 clients. Craig has co-authored several books, including ‘Sharing Nature’s Interest‘, the award-winning ‘ZEDbook‘, and ‘The Green Guide for Business‘ .
Cathy Debenham
Cathy Debenham is founder of YouGen, a website that aims to help people to find the information they need to make good decisions about renewable energy for home and work. She has a background in marketing and journalism, primarily in the voluntary sector. Her interest in renewable energy started when she renovated her house in 2005, and found it almost impossible to make an informed decision about whether biomass was a sensible option. She bought an efficient gas boiler, but the seed of the idea for YouGen was born. Cathy’s aim is to make complex decisions easier, by providing good, clear, impartial information, which she does with the help of a range of industry experts.

Clive Hall, founder Eventure Media
Clive Hall
Clive has a considerable breadth of knowledge of the renewable energy, power, resource and environmental sectors borne from a background which encapsulates the energy industry, the environment sector and the cleantech development community. He is founder of Eventure Media, which runs the Rushlight Awards and other events and incubator services to support and promote those organisations that are furthering clean technology. Prior to this, he held senior management positions at both LGC, an environmental, forensic, food and chemical analysis business spun out from the DTI, and Powergen, a then top 50 FTSE-100 electricity generating, supply and broader energy company. He is an FCA, a Fellow of the RSA and holds an MA in Mathematics from Lincoln College, Oxford.
Mark Fewell
Mark Fewell is creative director at GreenWise, producer and director at GreenWiseTV. A serial entrepreneur, Mark has co-founded four start-ups in the media industry. His experience and skills span video and motion graphics, graphic design and typography, online publishing, marketing & advertising, digital, music composition & sonic branding. He is GreenWise’s blogger on all things to do with design, film and product testing.

Bruce Davis

Bruce Davis is joint managing director of Abundance Generation. After 12 years working as an anthropologist studying our usage of energy and money he founded Abundance with Karl Harder and Louise Wilson, the first FSA regulated investment company that allows anyone to invest directly into UK renewable energy projects from just £5 minimum investment. Previously he was a co-founder of zopa.com.

Sam Friggens
Sam Friggens
Sam Friggens is a consultant and writer specialising in renewable energy policy, development and innovation. He recently undertook research to assess the nascent UK marine energy industry, and is currently working with a wave energy technology developer, modelling the viability of future projects under different physical, financial and regulatory conditions. He also blogs regularly for Abundance Generation, a regulated online investment platform for renewable energy projects, and is working to establish Veratas, a new sustainability reporting consultancy. Sam holds an MSc in Environmental Change & Managements from Oxford University, and in a previous career managed urban regeneration projects in East London’s Royal Docks.

Giles Robertson is director and founder of Green Banana Marketing – a company specialising in marketing and partnerships for charities and environmental projects. Clients have included the Fairtrade Foundation, British Council Climate Programme, WWF, Salix Finance, Plan and Care International. Giles is founder and chair of the Not For Profit Group within the Marketing Society, a networking and thought leadership group with the Marketing Society. He regularly writes for industry publications including Marketing Society and Third Sector. He is a dedicated Trustee of Marine Conservation Society, the UK’s leading marine conservation charity. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Saatchi & Saatchi.
